So many different methods? At my state operated agency only a nurse
or the individual (if capable) and or a Medication Certified employee
may administer an Epi Pen. Why? Because it is a perscribed
medication. Additionally, the nurse will keep the med locked up
until needed. The med must be accompanied with doctors orders
(original packing) and are not stored overnight.

Our American Red Cross CPR and First Aid classes do not offer this
addition into their classes.

I suspect therapeutic recreation agencies work on the medical model and are
far more stringent in terms of doctor's orders, handling meds etc. than in a
public park system, community recreation center or voluntary agency like Ys
or scouts.
How do public schools handle this situation? It might be a good model.
Has anyone checked with the American Camping Association? I know they have
loads of info to share and usually are considered the standard in terms of
liability.
